OPEN DOORS: BOTH LOGIE KIRKS SATURDAY & SUNDAY 13/14 SEPTEMBER
Logie is a historic church and churchyard – Kirk and Kirkyard in Scots – overlooking the historic Forth Valley and some of the most important sites in Scottish history.
The ancient site is open to the public but to get the most from any visit and learn about the history, the meaning behind the different stones displayed and the stories of some of the people buried there, the Graveyard Group offers guided tours on Sunday afternoons in July and August – contact us using the link at the top of the page to try to arrange guided tours at other times.
It is run by the Logie Old Graveyard Group, an SCIO charity that took charge in 2007 and is still busy caring for and promoting the whole site.
The work to restore and maintain the site never ends, so we are also always looking for volunteers to help with the work, run the group, research more about the history of the site and take tours. If you're interested in helping, please get in touch. We'd love hear from you.
Above all, we hope you enjoy finding out more about this fascinating site and all the history surrounding it, ranging from the ordinary people buried in the graveyard it to the epic events nearby that happened nearby.
